UTNRL ~ Nonwovens Research Lab at The University of Tennessee

UTNRL's Melt Blowing Pilot lines and Analytical Testing Lab are located at the University of Tennessee in the heart of downtown Knoxville, USA.

The facility is approximately 11 miles from Knoxville's McGhee Tyson Airport, 43 miles from Gatlinburg, TN, and about 30 miles from Oak Ridge National Laboratory. It sits on the edge of campus and next to the Fort Sanders area. Fort Sanders is known for a being the location of a famous civil war battle and for it's historic homes and the Laurel Theater.

We have four distinct seasons to enjoy in Knoxville. The temperature varies from around 2-25 degrees Celsius. Our average snowfall for November through April is approximately six centimeters per month, with rainfall around 100 centimeters. Take a look at our current weather.
