UTNRL ~ Nonwovens Research Lab at The University of Tennessee

Twenty Inch Meltblown Line

UTNRL's Twenty Inch Meltblown line is used to create preliminary products, and can be operated at high temperatures(400+ Deg C). During a run on this line, the line operator will run the material based on parameters supplied by the customer. The operator, or one of UTNRL's resident engineers will also be able to advise the customer on what parameter values are most likely to lead to desirable fabric properties.

Polymers that may be run on this line include polyolefins, polyesters, and engineering resins. UTNRL has proven that fabric can be made on this line while processing certain materials up to 400 degrees Celsius.
